Pacific City Fly Fishing & Guide Service is known as the "biggest little fly shop" on the Oregon Coast. It is located in Pacific City, Oregon, at 35580 Brooten Rd. They have been providing quality fly fishing tackle at low prices for over fourteen years for fishing on the Nestucca River, Town Lake, Hebo Lake and Pacific Ocean. We have honed their fly Fishing skills over the past fifty years while fishing, free diving, and surfing the waters of the Pacific West Coast from Alaska to Mexico.

Pacific City is also known as the Home of the Dory fleet. Jack and John Harrell have been members of the Dorymen's Association for over 15 years.

Fly fishing opportunities are usually available in the many rivers, lakes, streams and ocean waters, most of the time, for Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, Rockfish and Ling Cod. Whether you prefer the fresh waters of Town Lake or Hebo Lake for a family fly-fishing excursion or a trip down the Nestucca for the more experienced fisherman, Pacific City Fly Fishing has all the fly rods, reels, flies, and tackle needed for an amazing trip.

Jack Harrell--dubbed "Flyman" by his peers--enjoys sharing his love of fly fishing with any and all who want to learn. His patient attitude and years of honing his craft make him wise in the ways of fishing and life. He enjoys sharing all he has learned with others by teaching them to cast the perfect fly and take care of the land he calls home; that home is located a short distance from the Pacific Ocean, Pacific City's Town lake, the Nestucca River and other waters. Respect of the land and sea makes this man a true sportsman.

Following in his father's footsteps, "Captain" John E. Harrell is also an avid sportsman and fly fisherman. Whether captaining their Dory "Gold Comet" on the Pacific Ocean fly fishing for rock fish, or navigating the waters of the Nestucca River in a drift boat for Chinook Salmon, John is at home at the helm of their boats.

Fly fishing the ocean for a variety of fish is one of the most productive and exciting fishing adventures to engage in.

Black Rock fish are the most abundant species available off the Oregon Coast. These large schools of fish can number in the thousands and provide for an action-packed and enjoyable fly fishing trip.

Rock fish can be caught on a wide variety of flies, but 3-1/2"

Clousers, fished deep, are the usual top producing fly.

When these amazing fish are surface feeding they can be easily caught on surface poppers.  A very fun way to catch dinner!
